I just picked up the Akai APC40 from HipHopTools today and I couldn't be happier. I ordered my MPC from these guys a few years ago and I was happy with the service so I decided to give them a shout about ordering the APC40. The guys took my name and e-mail addrress (they even remember me from my previous order) and within no time I got a got an e-mail that one was in stock! In late September 2009 Hip Hop Tools sold me what no other store in the entire Toronto area could get in stock: the Akai APC40. The owner of HHT, Aaron, was a person with whom it was a pleasure to do business. Aaron knew that I had been trying to get my hands on an APC40 for months and, so, he guaranteed me that I'd be the first person he sold one of the controllers to once they arrived in store. I got a call from Aaron the day the controllers shipped to the store and by the following afternoon the APC40 was sitting on the desk in my room. I even got a bit of a deal on the price as HHT agreed to price match a quote I had gotten from another store even though the quote came from a store that didn't have the unit in stock. I highly recommend buying from HHT as my experience with purchasing the APC40 was smooth and professional. Hopefully, the warranty support will be as impressive if a need to have the APC40 serviced ever arises. Thanks for an easy transaction!
